Cristiano Ronaldo's eldest son has been called up to the Portugal Under-15s squad.
The 14-year-old, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. His father signed with the Pro League club in December 2022.
Ronaldo Sr., 40, shared a photo on social media. He posted his son's name on the national team list and wrote, "Proud of you, son."
Ronaldo Jr. will participate in a youth tournament in Croatia from May 13-18. Portugal will face Japan, Greece, and England during this event.
Cristiano Ronaldo Sr. is still an international player for Portugal. He has scored 136 goals for his country, a world record in men's football.
He captained Portugal to their first major title at Euro 2016. Unfortunately, he watched most of the final from the sidelines due to an injury.
Ronaldo also led his team to win the Nations League title in 2019. In March, he scored but missed a penalty as Portugal beat Denmark to reach the semi-finals.
The former Manchester United star has four other children: twins Eva and Mateo (7), Alana Martina (7), and Bella (3).
Ronaldo Jr.'s youth career has followed his father's path around the world. He played at academies for Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and Al-Nassr.
Reports say he scored 58 goals in one season while at Juventus. At Manchester United's youth setup, he played alongside Wayne Rooney's son Kai.
Videos of Ronaldo Jr. doing his father's iconic 'Siu' celebration have gone viral while playing for Al-Nassr.
Although called up by Portugal's Under-15 side, Ronaldo Jr. can also play for the U.S. or Spain due to residency when his father was at Real Madrid.
