Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim admitted he is "embarrassed" by the team's current struggles, as they sit 14th in the Premier League, just seven points above the relegation zone after a 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
"It is also my fault," Amorim said, acknowledging the team's poor form. "I think the team is not improving... It is a bit embarrassing to be Manchester United coach and lose a lot of games."
He conceded that United is in a relegation battle, calling it "one of the more difficult moments in the history of Manchester United." Amorim stressed the need for survival, saying, "We have to engage and focus on surviving," with a tough trip to Liverpool next.
