Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has expressed a strong desire to keep striker Joshua Zirkzee beyond the January transfer window. Signed for £36.5m by Erik ten Hag, Zirkzee has had a slow start at the club and is linked with a return to Serie A, with Napoli and Juventus interested.

Despite the transfer speculation, Amorim said, "I want to keep Josh because he gives everything and he's trying in training," though he acknowledged the uncertainty of the January window.

Zirkzee has struggled, notably being substituted early in a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, prompting boos from fans. United's captain, Bruno Fernandes, defended the player, emphasizing that Zirkzee deserves time to adapt and remains supported by teammates.
