SWAG congratulates Kurt Okraku on CAF Executive Committee election

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has congratulated its member Kurt Okraku on his election to the CAF Executive Committee.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, who ran unopposed under WAFU Zone B, was confirmed during the 14th CAF General Assembly in Cairo.

Okraku becomes only the sixth Ghanaian to secure a seat in CAF’s top decision-making body, marking a significant milestone for Ghanaian football.

SWAG described his achievement as a proud moment for both the association and the nation, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to African football governance.

Having served as GFA President since 2019, Okraku continues to rise on the continental stage, despite ongoing debates about the state of Ghanaian football.
