Vision FC head coach Nana Agyemang has expressed his condolences to the family of Francis Frimpong ‘Pooley’ and condemned the violence that led to his death.
Pooley, an Asante Kotoko supporter, was stabbed during a Ghana Premier League
match against Nsoatreman, prompting the league’s temporary suspension.
Agyemang called for stronger measures against hooliganism, emphasizing that no one should lose their life while watching football.
He hoped such tragedies never happen again, citing past incidents like the May 9th disaster.
In response, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Police Service have introduced new security training for recruits.
Baba Yara and Legon Stadiums remain closed until safety improvements are made. The league resumes this weekend, with Vision FC hosting Hearts of Lions.
