Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, is frustrated. He criticized the officiating in their recent match against Bibiani Gold Stars. The game ended in a goalless draw during Week 32 of the Ghana Premier League.
Both teams fought hard to win and stay in the title race. Kotoko created several chances but could not score. They left the match with just one point.
Duku believes poor officiating cost his team a victory. He stated, "Kotoko has been robbed." He noted that the team traveled from Kumasi to Bibiani for an exciting match.
He added, "Everyone knows Kotoko was robbed." Duku felt that tactically, Kotoko was ahead throughout the game. He mentioned that they created many decent and dangerous chances.
"The match officials denied us a clear victory," he said. Despite this, he hopes things will change in the future.
Kotoko will now focus on their home game against Medeama on June 1st.
