Scottie Scheffler secured a dominant six-shot victory at the Hero World Challenge, shooting a stunning nine-under 63 to finish on 25 under par.

The world number one, who won the Masters and Olympic gold in 2024, claimed his record-equalling ninth title of the year, tying Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh for the most wins in a single season since 1950.

Scheffler, who had not competed in strokeplay since August, birdied three of the first four holes and four of the last six.

South Korea's Tom Kim finished second, while Justin Thomas placed third. Scheffler expressed satisfaction with his performance and reflected on his surreal, successful year.
