Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs paid hotel security officer to hand over video, jury hears

Sean “Diddy” Combs is on trial for sex trafficking. A hotel security officer testified about an incident involving Combs and his then-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura.

Eddy Garcia worked at the Intercontinental hotel. He said Combs contacted him after a violent incident. Combs asked for surveillance footage of the attack. He promised to "take care" of Garcia if he provided it.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five charges. These include racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Federal prosecutors claim he coerced women into drug-fueled sexual performances with male sex workers.

Jurors previously saw a video from March 2016. It showed Combs in a towel attacking Ventura in a hotel hallway. He threw her to the ground, kicked her, and dragged her away.

Ventura stated that this incident happened after Combs gave her a black eye during a "Freak Off."

Garcia testified that he told his boss about Combs' request for the video. His boss agreed to give it to Combs for $50,000. The next day, Garcia saw his boss enter the server room for surveillance cameras.

His boss later gave him a USB drive containing the footage. Garcia handed this drive to Combs, who returned with a brown bag and a money counter.
