Second Liverpool star has been offered to Real Madrid amid contract talks

Liverpool are reportedly fighting off Real Madrid's interest in Trent Alexander-Arnold, but Virgil van Dijk, their veteran central defender, was also offered to the Spanish club.

The 33-year-old Dutchman was reportedly interested in the move, but Real Madrid declined due to his age.

Despite van Dijk’s strong season at Liverpool, Madrid opted not to pursue him, preferring their current defenders—Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Antonio Rudiger.

Real Madrid is considering signing a younger center-back in the future, with a focus on 2025 or 2026.

Additionally, they have been linked to Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen, a promising and affordable option priced at €59 million.
