Sedem Segbedzi-Semekor crowned 'Face of Lisben 2025'

Miss Sedem Awuku Segbedzi-Semekor, a Level Six learner, won "The Face of Lisben" in 2025. The event took place in Kasoa.

Royal Lisben Montessori School organized the competition. Its goal is to develop learners' potential and boost their confidence. The event also highlights Ghana's diverse cultures and addresses environmental issues.

Sixteen learners participated in the competition. They performed cultural activities representing Ghana's sixteen regions. They also presented projects related to sanitation.

Contestants showcased traditional dances, warrior displays, and regional cuisine. They demonstrated conflict resolution practices from chief palaces as well.

As the competition progressed, contestants worked hard to impress three judges. The judges evaluated each performance and asked relevant questions. Parents and community members attended to support the participants.

In the final round, contestants presented projects on sanitation and healthy living. Sedem emerged victorious with the highest scores from all judges. She earned the title "The Face of Lisben 2025."

Her prize included two terms of free tuition. Second place went to Samilia Anzie Quainoo, while Adepa Twumwaa Adjei took third place. Both received two terms of complimentary meals.

Additional awards recognized the best costume and most eloquent participant. The judges praised Sedem for her outstanding performance. They encouraged her to promote environmental cleanliness among peers.

In an interview, Miss Sedem thanked school management for this opportunity. She said, "When I am determined to take up a challenge, I give my all."

She acknowledged her colleagues' talents and valued her trainer's guidance during practice sessions.

Sedem credited her father for his support in providing costumes for the contest. She expressed gratitude for his motivation throughout her journey.

Winning this contest has inspired her to aim for victory in this year's UCMAS competition after placing third last year.

The winner will serve as an Ambassador for a clean and healthy environment.

"The Face of Lisben" was organized by Royal Lisben Montessori School at Kasoa TV3 Junction.
