Cesc Fabregas' Como secured a vital 2-0 victory over Lecce in Serie A on Monday, lifting them above Lecce into 15th place in the standings.
After a goalless first half, Como broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when Nico Paz scored from the edge of the box.
Patrick Cutrone doubled their lead in the 78th minute, following a save by Lecce's goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone. Both teams fielded strong line-ups, with Cutrone returning to Como's attack.
The win was crucial for Como, who now face tough fixtures against Lazio and Milan in January. Lecce will host Genoa and travel to Empoli in their next matches.
