Sissala East MCE Adamu Yakubu commends ‘superb’ organisation of Betway Tumu Cup

The Sissala East Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Yakubu, praised the Betway Tumu Cup organizers. He called the tournament's coordination and execution “superb.”

The one-day event took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025. It was held at the Tumu Sports Stadium AstroTurf. Real 24 Hours won the title after a strong performance.

Hon. Yakubu attended with Sissala East MP Mohammed Issah Bataglia. He expressed satisfaction with the setup and praised the professionalism shown during the event.

“This is superb,” said Hon. Yakubu. He commended the organization and planning of the tournament.

He noted that everything was well arranged: team arrivals, uniforms, and skillful play all showed careful planning.

Real 24 Hours not only won the trophy but also received GHS5,000 and medals. Bujan Crocodiles finished second and earned GHS3,000. Soccer Babies came in third and received GHS2,000.

The competition had six qualifying rounds. It was led by Joy Sports editor Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo in partnership with Betway and supported by Peeva Beverages.

This tournament revitalized football in the region. It celebrated local talent and highlighted grassroots sports development.
