Slot wants Salah to extend Liverpool contract despite Saudi Arabia interest

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot expressed a desire for Mohamed Salah to extend his contract with the club, despite ongoing speculation about a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Salah’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and he has indicated that it may be his last with Liverpool, citing no progress in contract talks. Slot acknowledged Salah’s remarkable contribution to the team, highlighting his impressive statistics this season, including 19 goals and 13 assists in the Premier League.

While others, including Saudi sports minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, have expressed interest in Salah, Slot hopes the Egyptian will make the right decision for his future, ideally staying at Liverpool. Other key players, including Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, also face contract uncertainty.
