Ghana and Le Havre star Andre Ayew has spoken about handling social media abuse, emphasizing the importance of focus despite online criticism.
The 35-year-old played a key role in Le Havre’s 4-3 victory over RC Lens, scoring his fourth goal of the season and providing an assist. The win lifted Le Havre to 16th place in Ligue 1.
Ayew, addressing the BBC, highlighted that while football is for the fans, players must differentiate between constructive criticism and baseless negativity.
He urged players to concentrate on feedback from coaches and analysts rather than social media comments.
Ayew stressed that while fans’ passion is valuable, ignoring "nonsense talk" is crucial for maintaining focus and performing well on the pitch. His experience has taught him to stay committed to his game.
