Stephen Appiah, former captain of Ghana's national football team, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the newly formed Management Committee for the Black Stars.
This follows the dissolution of the previous committee after the team's unsatisfactory performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Dr. Randy Abbey will chair the new committee, with Appiah serving as Vice Chairman.
Appiah, who led Ghana to their first World Cup in 2006, has previously served as team manager.
The new committee also includes Samuel Aboabire, Moses Armah, and Richard Nsenkyire, who will oversee various operational and matchday activities.
This restructuring is aimed at strengthening preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, following a disappointing AFCON qualifying campaign.
