Stephen Appiah’s return will inspire Black Stars' 2026 World Cup qualification - Godwin Attram

Former Ghana international Godwin Attram believes that the return of Stephen Appiah to the Black Stars will be a significant boost in their pursuit of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.

Appiah, the former captain of the team, has been appointed Vice Chairman and Player Relations Officer for the newly formed Black Stars Management Committee.

Attram is confident that Appiah’s presence will positively influence the team, especially as Ghana only needs one more win to secure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

He urged Appiah to take on a leadership role and engage directly with the players to remind them of the high expectations from Ghanaians.
