Daniel Ogunmodede, coach of Nigeria’s home-based Super Eagles, has vowed to work hard for victory in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) after leading the team to a 3-1 aggregate win over Ghana, securing Nigeria's qualification after six years.
The CHAN, exclusively for players based in their home countries, will be held from February 1 to 28, 2025, across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Ogunmodede expressed his joy at the win but stressed the importance of focusing on preparation for the tournament.
Despite Nigeria’s past close calls, finishing third in 2014 and runners-up in 2018, Ogunmodede aims to guide the team to its first CHAN title. The 2024 edition will be the first hosted by three countries.
