The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the Super Eagles squad for the Unity Cup. Several key players are missing from the list. Notable absentees include Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, and Calvin Bassey. Felix Agu is available only for training.
Their absence allows fringe players and local talents to shine. The Unity Cup features four teams: Nigeria, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. It will take place at G-Tech Community Stadium in Brentford from May 27 to May 31.
Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka lead the midfield as Premier League players. Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon add experience to the attack. Rising stars Nathan Tella and Cyriel Dessers are also included.
Local league performers like Amas Obasogie and Junior Nduka join the squad. Ghana's head coach Otto Addo will announce his squad next week for the tournament.
