Swedru All Blacks’ Rudolf Mensah lands big nomination at Ghana Football Awards

Rudolf Mensah, a forward for Swedru All Blacks, has been nominated for an award. He is up for Home-Based Player of the Year in the 2024-2025 Ghana Football Awards.

The 24-year-old had a standout season after joining from Golden Kick. Mensah scored 27 goals in 30 league games. His performance helped All Blacks return to the Ghana Premier League after 16 years.

He ended the season with a hat-trick in a 4-3 loss to PAC Academy. This achievement also earned him the Access Bank Division One top scorer prize.

Reports indicate that many GPL teams are interested in Mensah. He is the only Division One player nominated for this prestigious award.

Other nominees include Stephen Amankona from Berekum Chelsea and Razak Simpson from Nations FC. Faisal Charwetey and Samuel Kumi from Bibiani Gold Stars are also nominated.
