Rudolf Mensah, a striker for Swedru All Blacks Football Club, believes the club was meant to qualify for the Ghana Premier League this season.
All Blacks returned to the top flight after 16 years. They achieved this with a 3-0 win over New Edubiase in the Access Bank Division One Zone Two.
After the game, Mensah expressed his excitement. He had an impressive debut season, scoring 24 goals in 25 games.
“It’s great to be part of history,” he said. “We are thrilled to lead Swedru All Blacks back into the Premier League after 16 years.”
He added, “We knew we were destined for the Premier League. The feeling is amazing and we thank God for that.”
In Zone Three, Hohoe United also secured promotion by defeating Inter Allies 3-1.
Real Tamale United and Techiman Eleven Wonders will compete for a qualification spot in Zone One on Friday, May 30 at Accra Sports Stadium.
