Basake Holy Stars head coach Abdulai Gazale discussed his team's recent victory. They won 2-1 against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League. This win ended a tough stretch for the team, who had only one win in nine matches.
Their only previous win came from a forfeiture by Nsoatreman FC. Holy Stars originally missed out on that victory. After the match against Chelsea, Gazale explained his tactical changes.
He said, “It feels good because we have lost so many matches. Today, I changed tactics from our usual 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-3 formation.” He added that this included floating full backs both in the middle and on the wings.
Gazale noted that they have struggled recently but were pleased to secure three points. He hopes they can continue to earn points and improve their position in the league standings. After this win, Basake Holy Stars are now ranked 12th out of 18 teams.
