Defender Tariq Lamptey returned to action for Brighton and Hove Albion. This was his first game since February. He fully recovered from an injury that kept him out of Ghana's last international match in March.
Lamptey missed World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar due to this injury. He had been sidelined since the FA Cup game against Newcastle United in February.
On Sunday, he made his comeback in a Premier League match against Newcastle United. Lamptey replaced Mats Wieffer nine minutes into the second half. The game ended in a draw.
Gambian forward Yankuba Minteh scored first for Brighton in the first half. A late penalty from Alexander Isak earned a point for Newcastle.
Lamptey hopes to finish the season strong as his contract nears expiration. If Brighton does not offer him a new deal, he will become a free agent at the end of June.
