Tariq Lamptey reaches new EPL milestone after starring in Brighton's victory over Chelsea

Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey has reached a significant milestone in the English Premier League, making his 100th appearance during Brighton’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Amex Park.

The 24-year-old played the full match and impressed on the left side of defense as Brighton secured back-to-back wins over Enzo Maresca’s side.

Lamptey, who was handed his Premier League debut by Frank Lampard at Chelsea, made just one league appearance for the Blues before moving to Brighton in 2020.

In the match, Brighton took an early lead through Kaoru Mitoma, followed by a brace from Gambian midfielder Yankuba Minteh.

The Seagulls dominated the game, securing a convincing victory over Lamptey’s former club.
