Taye Taiwo inducted into Olympique Marseille Hall of Fame

Former Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo has been inducted into Olympique Marseille’s hall of fame, recognizing his contributions during his six-year spell at the club from 2005 to 2011.

Taiwo made 271 appearances for Marseille, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists, playing a key role in their success.

At the international level, he earned 54 caps for Nigeria between 2004 and 2011, scoring five goals.

His club career included stints with AC Milan and Queens Park Rangers. Taiwo retired in 2019 and now resides in France.

His induction celebrates his legacy as one of Nigeria’s finest left-backs and a Marseille legend.
