Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren said a red card affected his team's performance against Senegal.

Ghana won 1-0 despite being down to 10 players in the friendly match.

Anasthesia Achiaa received a second yellow card early in the second half. The Swedish coach believes this changed the game's dynamics.

He noted, "Towards the end of the first half, we adapted to their style." They discussed playing on the ground and moving the ball faster at halftime.

However, after receiving the red card, he felt it changed everything. "From that point on, it was a completely different game," he added.

This win marked Ghana's first since defeating Namibia 3-1 in December 2023.

Bjorkegren expressed happiness about winning: "In professional football, you're always happy when you win." He emphasized their main goal was to secure victory.

He praised their start: "In the first 30 minutes, we scored a beautiful goal." Evelyn scored with a great header from a number 10 position.

The two teams will meet again on Tuesday for another match.

These games are part of the Black Queens' preparations for WAFCON in Morocco this July.
