Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to critically assess the current state of football in the country after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025.
Appiah, who led Sudan to qualify at Ghana's expense, emphasized the need for a thorough analysis by the GFA.
Reflecting on his own experience, he noted the importance of professionalism in coaching, highlighting the pressure of managing a high-profile team like Ghana.
Appiah also expressed sympathy for current head coach Otto Addo, pointing out that Ghana’s failure to qualify is a significant issue, akin to England’s failure in major tournaments.
