The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) also received positive reviews. Many praised CAF for organizing one of the best tournaments recently.
Okraku sees even more potential for growth. He and the newly elected CAF Executives aim to enhance football further.
He stated, "The potential is massive." There has been a complete reorganization of international competitions, especially AFCON. CAF has increased investments and improved club licensing.
Okraku emphasized, "The potential to grow the African game is limitless." He urged support for Dr. Motsepe to continue his work.
Kurt Okraku now joins Faouzi Lekjaa as First Vice President. Lekjaa replaces Senegal FA President Augustine Senghor. Okraku takes over from Ahmed Yahya.
His new role was confirmed on April 26, 2025, by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe during a press conference in Accra.
