Newly elected GHALCA chairman John Ansah has defended his friendship with GFA President Kurt Okraku, asserting it won't compromise his leadership.
Ansah, backed by Okraku, won the election decisively with 96 out of 132 votes, defeating Isaac Wilberforce Koomson (35 votes).
Addressing concerns about bias, Ansah reassured stakeholders of his fairness and professionalism, emphasizing that his relationship with Okraku will not affect his ability to lead. “If he happens to be my friend, there's nothing wrong about it,” he stated.
Ansah pledged to prioritize the welfare and development of member clubs while promoting unity within Ghana's football community.
His leadership aims to strengthen GHALCA's role and enhance football in the country, starting with a commitment to fairness and accountability.
