There were heavy hitters in front of him- Atalanta Coach on Ibrahim Sulemana’s limited appearances

Atalanta head coach Gianpiero Gasperini explained why Ibrahim Sulemana has played less this season. The Ghana midfielder has appeared in only eight games so far. He has scored just one goal in the 2024-2025 season.

Sulemana's first goal for Atalanta came in a 2-1 victory over AS Roma. This win secured the club's spot in the UEFA Champions League. After the match, Gasperini praised Sulemana for his impressive strike.

Gasperini noted that Sulemana hasn't played much due to strong competition ahead of him. He acknowledged Sulemana's talent and expressed hope for his future contributions.

Sulemana’s goal ended Roma’s 19-game unbeaten streak. It also extended Atalanta's lead over fourth place to seven points with two games left in the season.
