Five countries have qualified for the 2026 World Cup. The tournament will be hosted by the US, Mexico, and Canada.
The qualified teams are:
- United States of America (USA)
- Canada
- Mexico
- Japan
- New Zealand
The FIFA 2026 World Cup will feature a record 48 teams. The games will take place from June 11 to July 19.
New Zealand qualified on March 24, 2025. They secured their spot five days after Japan qualified. New Zealand won against New Caledonia with a score of 3-0 in the Oceania Qualifiers final at Eden Park in Auckland.
Out of the 48 teams, 43 qualify through continental competitions. Two teams will qualify via playoffs.
New Caledonia hopes to participate for the first time. Their fate will be decided during the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
Iran can secure a spot by beating Uzbekistan today, March 25.
