Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has criticized club administrators. He called them "clueless" after recent violence in the Ghana Premier League.
This criticism follows violent incidents during Week 33 matches. The game between Basake Holy Stars and Nations FC was abandoned due to hooliganism. Nations FC claimed that its chairman and president were assaulted.
Adams expressed disappointment over these recurring incidents. He stressed the need for better education for club owners. Some owners seem "not to be up to the task beyond just owning the clubs."
He also mentioned that some management teams are "clueless about what football is all about." The Ghana Football Association has acknowledged these incidents. They confirmed that an investigation is currently underway.
Adams' comments highlight the need for more understanding among club administrators. Greater responsibility is essential to prevent future violence in football.
