GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum has dismissed concerns over Thomas Partey losing the Black Stars captaincy, emphasizing that the Arsenal midfielder remains committed to the team's success.

Speaking on Sporty FM, Asante Twum stated, "It’s not a problem for Thomas Partey that he’s no longer the Black Stars captain. It’s not about individual aspirations."

Partey, who was previously deputy to Andre Ayew, continues in the same role under new captain Jordan Ayew.

Ghana faces Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before playing Madagascar in Morocco on March 24.

The Black Stars are currently second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros, as they aim for 2026 World Cup qualification.
