Thomas Partey to start against PSG, confirms Arteta

Thomas Partey will play for Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. This is in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, according to Mikel Arteta.

The 31-year-old midfielder missed the last game due to yellow card accumulation. However, he is back for the match at Parc des Princes, which starts at 19:00 GMT. Arteta plans to start Partey, hoping he can change the team's fortunes.

“He’s a starter for us,” Arteta said. “He’s played the most minutes in his position.” He added that while they missed Partey in the last game, Declan Rice performed well. Now with Partey back, they have more options.

Arsenal aims to reach their first Champions League final in 19 years. Their last final was in 2006 when they lost 2-1 to Barcelona in Paris. To advance this time, Arsenal must overcome a 1-0 deficit against PSG. They hope to face Inter Milan in Munich after Inter's thrilling win over Barcelona.
