Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signing of Lens defender Kevin Danso on loan, with an obligation to buy for £21 million at the end of the season.
Spurs beat Wolves to the deal, who had been in talks to sign Danso ahead of the transfer deadline. The 24-year-old Austria international, who previously spent time on loan at Southampton, was part of the Lens squad that made the Ligue 1 Team of the Season in 2022-23.
His arrival will strengthen Tottenham's defense, particularly with injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. Danso's signing follows an unsuccessful move for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori and comes after Spurs brought in goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky. The club continues to explore additional signings.
