Judd Trump won his second UK Championship title with a 10-8 victory over Barry Hawkins at York’s Barbican.
The 35-year-old secured his 30th ranking title, placing him behind only Ronnie O'Sullivan, Stephen Hendry, and John Higgins. Trump led 5-3 after the first session and extended to 9-6, but Hawkins staged a spirited comeback, closing to 9-8 and narrowly missing the chance to force a decider.
Trump, who previously won the UK title in 2011, now boasts five Triple Crown titles.
His sublime 133 break and resilience under pressure sealed the £250,000 prize, adding to his Saudi Arabia Masters victory this season. Hawkins, seeking his first Triple Crown at 45, earned £100,000 as runner-up, an impressive feat given his late semi-final finish the previous night.
