U-20 AFCON draw: We can control the narrative of the tournament - Black Satellite coach Desmond Ofei

Black Satellites head coach, Desmond Ofei, believes Ghana is fortunate to have avoided Group B in the 2025 U-20 AFCON draw.

Ghana will compete in Group A alongside hosts Côte d'Ivoire, Tanzania, DR Congo, and a yet-to-be-named UNIFFAC team. Group B features strong opponents such as Egypt, Morocco, and Nigeria.

Ofei sees this as an advantage, stating that his team can control the tournament's narrative.

However, he acknowledged the challenge of playing an extra game due to being in a five-team group.

The tournament runs from April 26 to May 18, with 13 teams participating. The four semi-finalists will secure spots at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile later in 2025.
