Ghana’s Black Satellites will face the Central African Republic. This match is crucial for Group C in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Satellites currently have four points and sit second in the group. A draw might be enough for them to advance to the knockout stages.
However, CAR needs a win to qualify, making this match exciting.
This is Ghana's second game against a Central African team in this tournament. They previously drew 1-1 with DR Congo.
Ghana's last three matches against Central African teams ended 1-1.
CAR also drew 1-1 with Senegal. However, they have struggled against West African teams before. They lost 3-1 to Burkina Faso and 3-0 to Gambia in the 2021 edition.
Despite their advantage, Ghana coach Desmond Ofei warns against underestimating CAR.
“We can’t afford to be complacent,” he said. “They’ve shown they can hurt teams, so we must stay focused.”
