Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp featured for Celtic in their 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. Schlupp started on the bench but was introduced in the 65th minute, replacing Greg Taylor.
His presence contributed to Celtic’s fightback, with Daizen Maeda scoring in the 79th minute after an assist from Hyun-Jun Yang.
However, Bayern Munich had already taken control with goals from Michael Olise in the 45th minute and Harry Kane in the 49th minute.
Despite Celtic’s resilience, they couldn’t find an equalizer. The Scottish side will now travel to Germany next week, needing a strong performance to overturn the first-leg defeat and advance to the next stage of the competition.
