UCL Semis: It will be difficult for Lautaro Martinez to play in return leg- Inter Milan Coach

Lautaro Martinez, the Argentina international, indicated he needed to come off after half-time. This happened during Inter Milan's thrilling 3-3 draw with Barcelona in Spain.

After the match, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi spoke to Amazon Prime Italia. He was not optimistic about Martinez's chances for the second leg at Giuseppe Meazza.

Inzaghi said, “He felt a twinge but had played eight games in a row. Unfortunately, we faced these issues. I didn’t have Thuram and Taremi was also injured.”

He added, “When you start eight matches in a row, there is an injury risk. I hope it’s nothing serious, but I have doubts.”

Inzaghi continued, “It will be very difficult to recover Lautaro for the return leg. We gave everything against Roma and faced many incidents.”

He mentioned that they would likely play without their captain on Tuesday. “That match is already a final for us,” he stated.

Martinez will undergo further tests to assess his injury severity. He will miss the weekend clash with Hellas Verona. If his injury is serious, he could be out for the rest of the season.
