Usain Bolt $12.8M fraud case: two years later, no justice in sight

Usain Bolt is still awaiting answers two years after losing $12.8 million in a fraud scandal involving Stocks and Securities Ltd (SSL), a Jamaican financial firm.

In January 2023, Bolt discovered his investment account had been emptied, with only $12,000 remaining.

Authorities, including the Fraud Squad and the Financial Investigations Division, launched an investigation, but no progress has been made.

Bolt’s recent cryptic social media post reminded the world of his lost money, prompting renewed attention on the case.

In September 2024, SSL was reported to have plans to repay affected investors, including Bolt, but his funds have not yet been returned. The unresolved scandal continues to overshadow Bolt’s post-retirement life.
