Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive World Drivers' Championship with a fifth-place finish in the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Mercedes' George Russell won the race, holding off teammate Lewis Hamilton, who finished second after starting 10th.
Verstappen’s finish behind Ferraris Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc was enough, as his title rival Lando Norris could only manage sixth, leaving him 63 points behind Verstappen with 60 still available.
Verstappen joins Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel as a four-time champion, with only Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Juan Manuel Fangio ahead of him.
Reflecting on the season, Verstappen expressed pride and relief, acknowledging the challenges faced and the team's collective effort in securing the title.
