Kurt Okraku has resigned as President of WAFU Zone B.
He cited his new role as 2nd Vice-President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a reason. He also mentioned his ongoing commitments to the Ghana Football Association.
Okraku realized he could not manage all three roles effectively due to their demands.
In 2022, he was reelected for another four years as WAFU Zone B President.
In his resignation statement, Okraku expressed gratitude for serving as President. He noted it was necessary to step down from this position.
He plans to begin handing over his responsibilities soon. He is confident that a new leader will continue the group's progress.
Okraku emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and unity in the region.
