Ghanaian para-athlete Zinabu Issah has won her second silver medal.
She achieved this at the World Para Athletics (WPA) 2025 Marrakech Grand Prix.
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, she threw 8.54 metres in the Women’s F57 Shot Put event.
This earned her silver, finishing behind a Nigerian athlete who threw 8.94 metres.
Earlier on Friday, Zinabu won gold in the women’s F57 discus event.
She threw 29.25 metres, breaking her previous record of 26.66 metres from the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Zinabu is an African star and is close to qualifying for major events.
These include the WPA 2025 World Championships and the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
First, she must perform well at upcoming competitions in Paris and the Czech Republic.
