Ghanaian forward Kamaldeen Sulemana says the Black Stars are determined to bounce back from recent disappointments and secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to Showmax, the Southampton winger admitted the team fell short in recent AFCON tournaments and took full responsibility for their failures. “We didn’t perform well in the last two AFCONs.
We take the blame and have apologised to Ghanaians,” he said. Kamaldeen stressed the squad's renewed focus, aiming for redemption through World Cup qualification.
Ghana recently climbed to the top of Group I following emphatic victories over Chad and Madagascar. With 15 points, they lead Comoros by three, heading into crucial qualifiers against Chad and Mali in September.
The team remains focused on maintaining momentum and clinching back-to-back World Cup appearances.
