'We are not stupid' - Foden concedes Man City's title defence is over

Phil Foden has conceded that Manchester City's hopes of defending their Premier League title are over after their late 2-2 draw with Brentford.

Despite scoring twice, City failed to secure a win after Yoane Wissa and Christian Norgaard scored late goals. Foden said, "The title? Yeah, yeah, it's done for sure, it's done." He acknowledged that the 12-point gap to leaders Liverpool is too large to overcome and shifted focus to securing a top-four finish.

Foden also reflected on the team's struggles, noting, "The performances have not been good enough to get up there." Despite the setback, he remains hopeful, adding, "I still believe in the team... It's about getting back on the training pitch and having that belief."
