Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has emphasized that improving women's football is a top priority for the association.
He highlighted the Black Queens' return to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) for the first time since 2018 as a significant achievement.
In an interview with 3Sports, Okraku stressed the need for a shift in public perception of women’s football and expressed hope that initiatives like International Women’s Day and the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations will raise awareness and garner more attention.
He believes that with the right support, Ghana's female players have immense potential and can achieve great success in the sport.
