Newly appointed Black Queens coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, is confident in the team's potential for success.

The Swedish coach has signed a two-year contract, succeeding Nora Hauptle, who left to manage Zambia’s Copper Queens.

At his unveiling, the 43-year-old emphasized his commitment to player development, stating that his focus is on scouting, watching games, and helping players improve.

While acknowledging that results may vary, he stressed the importance of hard work in achieving success.

Bjorkegren highlighted Ghana’s rich talent pool and expressed optimism about both short-term and long-term progress.

His first match in charge will be a friendly against Morocco on February 21, ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July, where Ghana will compete in Group C with South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.
