We made the game look simple but it wasn’t- Jordan Ayew on Ghana’s big win over Trinidad and Tobago

Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew spoke about Ghana's recent win.

Ghana defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 in the 2025 Unity Cup. This victory secured third place for Ghana at the tournament.

Ayew, who scored the first goal, also assisted two others. He played for just 60 minutes during the match.

Razak Simpson, Mohammed Fuseini, and Lawrence Agyekum scored the remaining goals. Despite the scoreline, Ayew emphasized that it was not an easy game.

He said, “We approached the game really well. We made it look simple but it wasn’t.” He praised his teammates, especially the younger players.

Ayew added that some players took their chances well. He encouraged them to keep believing in themselves and performing strongly.

Before this win, Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria in the Unity Cup.
