Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged his players to train hard and win games in honor of their late supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley.
The devoted fan was tragically stabbed to death during Kotoko’s Week 19 Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC.
On February 19, the team resumed training for the first time since the incident, with Ogum leading prayers for the deceased.
In an emotional speech, he encouraged his players to dedicate their efforts to Nana Pooley’s memory.
He emphasized that while the loss is painful, the best way to honor him is by working hard, winning games, and making his soul happy. Kotoko now aims to turn their grief into motivation on the pitch.
