We paid GBC $3m for All African Games coverage – Mustapha Ussif

Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has confirmed that his ministry has paid over $3 million to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for coverage of the 2024 All African Games held in Accra.

The payment, made in response to MP Samuel George’s inquiry during a Public Accounts Committee meeting on August 19, 2024, covers the full cost of GBC's services.

However, concerns were raised about unpaid technicians, prompting the committee to investigate GBC's outstanding payments to these workers.
